What is a Panic Exit Device?
A locking device installed on an exit door to release the latch when the crash bar is pushed.
The door latch releases when a bar, across the inside of the door, is pushed.
In the event of FIRE people panic and normal Door Locks handles and levers are not operable due to panic.
Panic bars are now a required safety feature in all commercial buildings.

The doors are normally closed and at the time of emergency the doors can be opened by pressing the Panic Bar (on Push open side only) on the other side either no access or access with key is provided for security. However access from inside to outside is available even if the Panic bar is locked. People from inside the building are allowed to move from inside to outside, but people from outside the building are not allowed to move inside this access is provided to the authorized persons only .
