Fire doors delay the spread of fire and smoke, different parts of a building may be separated from each other, into compartments with the help of these doors. Hence every fire door is therefore required to act as a barrier to the passage of smoke and fire to varying degrees dependent upon its location in a building and the fire hazard associated with the building.

SPECIFICATIONS
Supply of door frames made out of Hardwood of size 120 x 60 mm (nominal) for mounting shutters of 30 minutes fire rating, with heat activated Intumescent fire seal strips ( Imported ) of size 10 x 4 mm provided in grooves on all three sides of the frame with one coat of fire resistant primer.
Supply of 45 mm thick non - metallic asbestos free fire resistant doors of 30 minutes rating conforming to BS: 476 part 22/IS-3614 Part 2 as per prototype tested and certified at CBRI Roorkee suitable for mounting on door frames. The shutters shall comprise of two non-combustible boards 16 mm thick sandwiching 5 mm thick fire resistant insulation filler, veneered with 4 mm thick (nominal) commercial ply on both the faces and hardwood lipping on all the sides with heat activated Intumescent fire seal strips (Imported) of size 10 x 4 mm on all the three sides of the shutter except bottom provided in suitable grooves with one coat of fire resistant primer.
